Basic Curtains
This workshop is for people who would like to make their own curtains but don’t know how to go about it.  A whole range of window decorations are discussed including simple draping suggestions, unlined curtains and café style curtains.

Lined Curtains
This half day workshop explains how to create traditional lined curtains in the most straight forward manner.  You will make a mini curtain sample and learn how to measure up, cut out and choose and sew on tapes.

Roman Blinds
Learn to make Roman blinds on this short workshop.  We will cover the arithmetic involved in calculating the positioning of the rods and make up a sample you so that you can see how easy they are to construct.  Notes are provided and these, along with your sample, will help when you get home to make your own.

Parcel Organiser
Make a useful parcel organiser to keep wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, scissors etc tidy.  It is ideal for any
home whether made for yourself or as a gift for a birthday or Christmas.  The workshop includes the chance to
learn how to add binding to edges and use decorative machine stitches to finish.

Bags of Fun
After some brief instruction in pattern making and construction ideas, make a hand bag, hold-all or shopping
bag of your own design to take home.  Bring your own materials for the bag but everything else will be provided.

Make and Take a Machine Smocked Cushion
Find out how easy and effective it is to do smocking by machine. Don’t think traditional babies’ dresses and rompers – this smocking is much more contemporary.  You will make a panel of machine smocking and make up a cushion cover with contrasting fabric and piping. All materials provided.
